It is true that once you own a vehicle you see them everywhere. So, from time to time when I see a Żuk somewhere in popular media such as videogames etc. I’m going to post it.
As a game developer and associate professor working on various technology projects I often turn to videogames or vehicle projects to unwind. One of the most cathartic games I have found to play is Euro Truck Simulator 2.
I actually enjoy long distance driving in real life for similar reasons. But ETS2 has stayed with me in ways many more complicated games have not. Simply put. I have a multi-million pound trucking empire that I might dip into once every month or so – a slice of escapism well away from my daily life. If you don’t believe me, check out its reviews.
I’ve had a few mods installed for a while, but really surprised to see this on the other side of the road the other day. Where was this driver headed? How was the Żuk managing motorway speeds? I had many other questions, but it was great to see one in a game!
If you want to see 200+ additional vehicles in ETS2 check out the AI Traffic pack by Jazzycat. Just put it in your mods directory, start the game and go to mod-manager. He as got loads of vehicle packs and you can check them out here: http://ets2.lt/en/?s=jazzycat If you know any great PRL van references post them in the comments.
See you on the roads of Europe.

Hi,
While I play many video games and road trips, while I never tried Euro Truck Simulator, I never ever consider that I could enjoy it. I actually enjoy road trips much better with no trucks around at all.
But if there was decent and realistics Zuk mods, I would be indeed tempted to check them out.
So what is your opinion about these? Does it relates, even slightly, to Zuk driving (engine power, suspension behavior, or is it just some Zuk 3d models transposed in the game?

This is just 3D models in game. However, I am working on the design for two videogames that feature Zuk!
The first game is managing factory in PRL making van I call “NyZu”.. every year government becomes more demanding and you have less money to make NyZu!
The second is fun driving game where my Zuk will be bonus vehicle. I hope to make article about these on this blog very soon.. 🙂

I am looking forward these articles.
I do not know if you are familiar with Car Mechanic Simulator. It already features maluch, maybe they’ll add some Nysa/Zuk at some point.

Have you played Jalopy? That’s the game that you should play if you love cars of PRL! You should check it out.

I actually played a bit of Jalopy but that was a while ago and some bugs (impossible to leave a town at some point) made the experience a bit a bore at some point. Fun ambiance but I’d actually be more interested, in the end, in Spintires with a Zuk.

Replying quite late… Zuk model for Spintire is there https://www.worldofmods.com/spin-tires/cars/45167-zuk-a06z.html (also described at https://zukowka.wordpress.com/2019/01/06/lxi-zuk-in-3d-computer-graphics/ ). Not so easy though, the default maps are not made for 2 RWD.
