I did indeed! The main reason for XUD was true mechanical injection, no ECU, no electronics to go wrong. I also found some parts on the newer engine getting hard to find. All my classic cars have fuel injection, and I have retrofitted much newer engines (e.g. Opel Omega 3.0 > Ascona 1983)..but I like idea of Zuk stupid, but reliable engine.. I did think about the 2.1 block converted to mechanical injection too of course.. but for now, as LDV Pilot gives me mounts for ladder chassis I stick to 1.9.. in future though… who knows! 🙂
